Can bad tires cause a "grinding" sound when braking?
My tires now have almost 18k on them, every so often I get this strange grinding like noise when braking, not loud, but you can tell, I remember the same noise on my 09 x5 because of the tires, I replaced them and the noise was gone, any of you guys experiencing something similar? I have the 18" pirelli pzero on my 550. If you run your palm over the tread backwards from the direction of travel, you can feel a sharp edge on all the angled cuts

car is @ local dealer, I mentioned it could be a shock or suspension, knock on wood, or also balancing of the tires.. on my GLK I was having a little bit of play and they replaced struts sway bar and bunch of stuff, GLK is 11' fairly new, I'll let you know also as soon as I get the car back
