2012 E-Class Cabriolet (RED)
Red E-Cabriolet Vossen Installation
New shoes for my Red Cabriolet
Put it on a side to imagine how it will look when replace my AMG wheel
Check if any damages from shipping
The rear tire is about 4mm wider than the body on each side
As for the front wheels, it was lucky that the wheel and the caliper almost hit each other
Still works fine and didn't hit the calipers, will have to do several tests to see if it is necessary to add 3mm spacers
The current distance is less than the thickness of the name card = =
Half of my local friends think the old wheel looks better than the CV3, what do you guys think?

wow..the CV3 looks much bigger then the multi-spoke..I'm always unsure whether the CV3 looks good on our cars but I would choose Matte Graphite color for my car

Azn: yes, it is bigger lol
Caker: thanks bro, glad you like it
Nab: always love to wait for your comments: I do consider adding spacers about 3mm for the front wheel, so far is nice and won't bump the calipers during the normal turn and U-turn
(Didn't test the drift yet = =)
Any suggestions on the suspension? Before the installation of vossen I was wonder how will it look, afraid of higher than before then must low down, but what do you guys think? If necessary then what brand and model is recommended? Thanks for the advices, love you all

No problem Koji, love the way your car is coming along.
With regards to the suspension, I wouldn't recommend springs, the drop may be too much on the rears. Probably better off with coilovers or air (never sure about handling of cars on aftermarket air kits) something that you can adjust to exactly the right level of drop.
Bear in mind if you do make the drop the relative adjustments in camber so the rears would tuck in a little rather that sitting nicely flush at present so possibly need a camber correction kit and you may need those spacers on the front after all but until you do drop it you wouldn't know. After lowering mine on H&R springs the back sits a little too low for my liking but I've learned to put up with it, doubt I could fit 20s on without the wheels rubbing all the time (they do now as 9.5x19 ET37) but that is just because it is a fixed drop hence the suggestion on coilovers or air.

KW V3 Suspension
Nab: Thanks for your comment, and did few diagnosis with the local specialists and few friends of different kind of suspensions and decide the amount of lowing, etc...
The final decision, I go for KW coilover Varient 3 kit
Here is the basic introduction I got from the official website of KW suspension I chose:
KW Variant 3 inox-line – Perfect Street Performance
State-of-the-art technology from motor sports for more performance on the road. The separate and independently adjustable rebound- and compression damping allows for an individual suspension setup for different uses and preferences. The unique patented system with its two-stage valves allows a rebound damping adjustment (comfort) and a compression adjustment (driving dynamics) in the low-speed range while the high-speed range which controls the driving safety, is fixed.
Looks very nice, love that yellow sprint ^^
A little angle shots of suspension and the brake system without the wheels back on
About the lowering parts, it is very easy to tell when look at the rear of the car, the front I have lowered 150mm from the original, and lowered approximately 100mm for the back.
This is the photo for the rear before changing to KW
This was after, the proportion was much better than before, and also better steering and controlling of the cars
Close-up view for the rear
Close-up view for the front
And a close up photo of my new Vossen V3 with my gold AMG brakes
Hope you guys like my choice and I also love your all comments ^^

Nab: Thx, I do not regret KW, the steering and turning and controlling are so much better than before~ honestly I'm more excited about the exhaust but don't know what's going on with the shipping from Germany = =
Diego: lowered the car made my wheel looks bigger from certain angle, didn't regret on Vossen as well even though this CV3 is not a unique design, close-up look on the wheel can definitely tell the quality and the finish is awesome
Gav: haha, it's not a beast yet, coz I my eisenmann is not here yet
Caker: It was lucky on the day I went to my friend's office to discuss about the suspension, he received the call from his customer who few months ago ordered exact same coilover that I wanted, arrived last week but that customer had financial problem which must cancel the order so I told my friend "I'll take over it, lets start operating my cabrio"
P.S. WILSON!!!!!! I'M COMING!!!!!!! = =..
Joao: Thanks bro

what tyres are you running ? Any rubbing ? Hows the comfort between KW3 and stock ? I was planning to get coilover but worry the ride will be very harsh on bumpy road.

HEXIS Croc-Partial Wrap + Eisenmann Exhaust
It's been a while to update my red Cabriolet, first I will reply few comments:
Dav: I didn't install the DRL in the first place but I have instaled the official E63 AMG DRL
Supamsp: Thanks, looks quite different with and without it
Steelgray: It does rub a bit when drive through the bad roador doing fast curve, but I can accept it. Usually will not rub it if you drive smoothly unless your have more than 3 passengers on it = =
Aznx: The tyre I use Michelin PSS, the KW suspension is very comfortable and better steering than the original suspension (so far so good)
Recently I repaired the wrap of my red part of the carbon bonnet since was scratched by a "CAT"
sigh.......
Then I discovered they have the croc-texture wrap (by HEXIS), and wanted to try out on my car, so I wrapped the chrome and black area of my red cabriolet
Here is the photo of my Cabriolet finally have quad exhaust tail-look~~ happy
(by Eisenmann Exhaust System)
Will post the video of the sound in the near future

Love it Koji, looks amazing! How are you getting on with the wrapped pieces on your roof when it shuts does it not ruin the wrap?
Looking forward to hearing what the exhaust sounds like

The Red Cabriolet X Iron Man
Gav: I'm still thinking about the spacer but for now I just want to leave it like this
Aznx: Before I used the Revoport diffuser however they don't produce the style for quad exhaust, I have asked them if possible for custom made but they have problems with it so I decided not to bother them = =
Nab: The wrapping was alright, I love the texture of the croc-design, and when close the top also tested with washing the car and drive during the rainy day, no problems at all, and closing/opening the top did not harm the wrap at all, you can consider as well~
Did a little editing since the movie is so popular recently, what do you guys think?
