so my e350 coupe did not come with a media connector (ipod connector)... only AUX... are there any options to integrate something like that and have it work with COMAND as an aftermarket solution? what are my options?

Does your car have P1 pkg (nav, backup cam, etc)? If so, it will support iPod connectivity you just need the cable- about $50 on eBay. If not, then you may have to go aftermarket audio shop for compatibility.
