2010 e coupe "foglights"?
Sorry if this has been answered here before, I'm new to the site and just got a used 2010 E350 coupe with P1 package . It has four small "foglights" on the front instead of the "hockey stick" lights, but the two outboard lights don't seem to do anything. The dealer mentioned corner illumination lights, and the "fog lights" seem to work as described in the owner's manual. have looked on every MB forum, ask.com, everywhere I can think of and l can't find the answer. Are they just for looks?

The "outboard" lights are probably day time running lights. I'm not sure about that setup since I have the hockey sticks, but my hockey sticks would not come on at night when I first got my car. After I took it into the dealer and got a software update, they stay on all the time (except when parked).

Try turning the steering wheel and see if they come on ( the one in the direction that you are turning). You may need the engine on. you may need some else to watch while you drive.

Sorry for being a newbie , you were correct when you said they were DRL's . I tried them at first in the evening and the auto headlights had over-ridden their function but yesterday I tried them in sunlight and they worked fine .

Two lighta are daytime driving lights and when you put the front fog lights on the daytime driving lights will turn off. At any time, only two of those four round lights will be on. The rear fog lights are another matter. You need to pull the switch out to the second click before they will come on. I hope this help.
