Radar Detector in E550 Cab
Just got a 2013 E550 Cab Black/Black. What a spectacular car!
Has anyone installed a radar detector in this model? I'd like to find something like the Blendmount unit but I don't think it will fit.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Beltronics STi-R plus is a great performer for a remote / hidden mount, but if you want a windshield / dash mount get the escort Redline. Make sure you get the new one with the KA band segmentation.

Radar is pointless in the US nowadays. I have a passport 9500ix that i have mounted on the top right of the mirror and run the wire through the headlining and into the cigarette lighter in the rear of the car - you can't see any wires.
You're better off spending your money on laser jammers. I have the dual head HP-905's that I had installed by my mercedes dealer and they are FANTASTIC.

I have a GPS equipped Beltronics GX-65. It warns for red light cameras, speed traps in addition to Radar/Lazer. You can even block known false signals so it's generally quiet unless a real threat is there.
It's mounted high on the drivers side windshield, wire is run between headliner and windshield then down A pillar and into glove box where there is a 12v socket.
I've had a detector in every car since the 1980's.
