Do Mods Actually Lower the Value of your car?
Several times, I have heard that any type of aftermarket modification lowers the value of your Merc. IS this true?

I have mod'd a few cars and I have certainly not gotten that value back on resale. I think the large majority of used Benz shoppers are looking for stock original cars. But there are a few enthusiasts who may appreciate a tastefully and well balanced modified car.

I tend to agree that mods don't add value but I do believe that adding options that were part of the model build do add value. I am adding P2 lighting options to a 2011 E350 I purchased in May at a great price. I also have added the AMG body styling kit (code 772). The down side is that my bargain purchase is eaten up by the high cost of adding the codes to my Datacard!
