Im currently stranded in highway , my car can start however it wouldt enter the gear.. Drive or reverse .. I tried paddleshift not working either.. Anyone knows what the problem? Is it because of trans mission slip? What can i do? How to check the transmission fluid? Its sunday all the workshops r closed.. Thanks

When you press the brakes, do the brake lights illuminate? Perhaps the brake sensing switch is broken and is not allowing the car to shift into gear.

I'm leaning to wards something electronic, but not really sure. Sorry man, I'll keep thinking about it. Good luck!

apparently the workshop told me that my gearbox requires a full overhaul and they quoted 6k USD.

How old is your car? Should be covered under the 4 yr 50,000 mile warranty if you're within those parameters. Shame, I believe many other manufacturers usually warranty the power train longer than the basic warranty. It looks like MB does not.

my car is year 2010 , i bought from importer not authorized dealer. the warranty was still on but they said my warranty is void because i did send to their panel workshop for services.. i sent to authorized mercedes service center.
