Illuminated Star for 2013 E 350 coupe & 2014 grille
I dropped off my E coupe for some warranty work. The rear passenger window weather stripping was coming loose. Anyway, since, I had some time, and there's been some talk about grilles, I thought that I would check out the parts department at MB of Ontario (that's So Cal not the great white north).
So, I dropped by the Parts department to ask about the illuminated star and the 2014 grille. The illuminated star is 3 parts. 166-817-03-16 (star) for $295; 166-900-28-08 (control unit) for $125; and 218-820-00-13 (wiring) for $60. So total of $480 plus tax. The Parts guys had no clue if the parts could be customer installed or the impact on warranty. They did confirm that the 2014 grille won't fit on a pre facelift C207:
