2011 E550 (M273) ECU tune and noticeable difference?
Hi,
I've seen a few tunes available so far for the 2011 E550 - OE Tuning, Eurocharged, Kleeman, RENNtech, Brabus, and Powerchip (powerchipgroup.com?) - but was wondering if such a tune is even noticeable on the M273 engine. Looking at the numbers, it seems roughly a +25HP/lb-ft difference, though looking at one of the Dyno charts on the OE tuning of a 2010 E550, it seems to perform worse than stock at the low RPMs: http://oetuning.com/products/mercede...-e550-500.html
From my understanding, the S550 and E550 had the same engines those years; why was the E550 tuned differently in the second screenshot? (I'm quite new to this, so I apologize in advance if that was a stupid question, but am genuinely interested as to know the reason for the discrepancy, specifically why there is worse performance at the low revs after the tune)
Any advice on the bolded sections or ECU tuning on the M273 (<2011 E550) would be great. Thanks in advance.

I have looked at a lot of different tunes for the e550 non bi turbo, and found OE tuning to be the best one for its price and its performance gains. I am not sure about the low rev worse performance though, but I am getting the ecu tune installed next week and can let you know the results.

the poorer low rev performance comment was based of the dyno chart i saw on the OE tuning website and was curious as to why that was. I'm hoping someone could chime in on that:

I have not yet purchased it since I went ahead and bought spacers. I will buy it hopefully by the end of the month or first week of December. Also, you can remove the tune when bringing it in to service if you buy the My Genius flash loader for an extra $200. With the flash loader you can upload and remove the tune when ever you want.

Just got the ecu tune and can tell you that the car definitely pulls a lot harder, I noticed the accelerator moving from 60 mph to 90 mph incredibly fast. Jeremy and the OE team are true professionals. They helped me when ever I needed them. Also they have a sale going on right now until the 31st of December for 20 percent off ecu tunes.

Haven't driven it enough to notice a increase in fuel economy. But I did notice it was at 20mpg in the last 80 miles I have driven. Instead of my usual 18mpg

It's great, 0-60 is a bit faster. Acceleration going on an on ramp is a lot more powerful, you can feel the car pull much harder when you mash the peddle. But again I have a convertible E550 which weighs less than a sedan. But I would recommend OE tuning, can't beat their prices. https://oetuning.com/mercedes-benz-e550500.html
Looking for it to really pull like a freight train on the on ramps, LOL.

Thanks for the feedback, buddy. The OE Tuning seems to fit what I'm looking for. I'm in OC and they are in my backyard. I already have the Brabus exhaust, and this should complement the exhaust well.
