Wow, I was just looking at the manual too and came across that page, it does say:
Gasohol, a mixture of 10% ethanol and 90% unleaded gasoline, can be used.

Question: The owner's manual for the E550 (page 376 for 2015 model) says to NOT use E85 as it may cause engine damage. Is this now inaccurate? I know ethanol can have a corrosive effect on the fuel system over time. Especially as the percentage of ethanol to gasoline is increased. Has MB done something to eliminate this problem associated with higher percentage ethanol use? Thanks.
I can only speak on personal experience. Do your research and you will find a concesus about using certain mixes. Bimmer forums are the best source. MB owners tend no to look into E85.
I'll give you a clue. E20 or E30..
Would i run all E85 on my car, no I would not. Can I treat at as race gas and only use to boost octane. Yes I would.
For a stock tune.. it might help a bit.
