Wheel lock/key?
Hi,
Having just recently purchased a 2011 e550, I noticed that there are wheel locks on each of the tires; is the key normally located somewhere in the car? If not, where would I be able to get one other than the dealership?
Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the reply. That was actually the first place I checked. I found the gloves, jack, and tire iron all inside a plastic container held in the centre of the spare tire, but I don't see the key anywhere. Where in the trunk/spare tire area, specifically, are you referring to?

Welcome to the forum.
If it hasn't gone lost somewhere along the way, in the car there should be a small plastic case, about 3 3/4" X 5" in which the wheel locks and the unlocking key were originally supplied. The case is meant to store the removed wheel lugs and the locks unlocking key. My case is black with a large orange parts sticker on one side.
The locks case can of course be stored anywhere, but it was meant to be kept exactly where you first looked - in with the spare tire.
If it's not there then, to state the obvious, check all the nooks and crannies, the other storage areas in and around the trunk, the glove compartment and the console compartments for either the case or the lock key itself.
Failing that, I've been told the dealer can resolve the problem somehow and supply a new key, but I don't have first hand experience with that.
Good luck and please let us know how you make out.

Not sure how I didn't notice the black case yesterday as it was right inside the wheel well beside the jack. Thanks!
