So I just purchased a 2011 E550 coupe and I'm new to mercedes I traded in my NSX which was a great car but wanted something roomier and more up to date interior. So my first question is I want to lower the car but can't get a straight answer, is it safe to assume that the E550 comes standard with air suspension?

no air suspension for the coupe..

you will need springs to reduce heigh.. H&R has a set for this car... i'm sure there are other brands too.

2011 E550 is a good car and i'm sure you got a great deal.

A good tune on the 5.5L, exhaust and drop will do wonders to the car.

Couldn't agree more with this statement about the E550, although only when it is in coupe/cabriolet form. Since the sedan has the E63 amg as its top engine.

Also, to OP you can lower your car with H&R, Brabus, or Eibach springs. I have a lowered E550 cabriolet and have had zero problems.

@Barca very true! I live in Houston and I occasionally see E350 coupes but rarely E550 coupes. I'm sure OP will love it

This was as I was trading in my NSX, and my E550 after the first couple of days. Already swapped out the front side markers to smoked ones and changed out the rear license plate lights to LEDs got some other parts on the way.
