E350 vs. E550

E350 vs. E550
I have a 2010 E350, and am thinking about upgrading to E550. I just feel like I need a V8. Any thoughts as to appropriate price differential? Looking for $28-30k for my car, what would a 2010 or 2011 low mileage E550 be worth? I'm at 33,000 miles, looking for no more than that on an E550. I'll travel anywhere in the U.S. for the right car. Looking forward to opinions.

E550
I don't know what your budget is but I am really glad I got my '12 E550. I lucked out and got a really good deal ($39k after MB 2 payments). The engine in the '12 is incredible.

2008 E350 4Matic w/ Sport Package
I've been tossing around the idea of snatching up a '12 E550. So my questions would be:
1) Is there a noticeable difference in the '10/'11's and the new upgraded engine in the '12?
2) Will a bunch of '12's come off lease next year (2015)? There seems to be a lot more '11's than '12's available on Cars.com right now.
3) What is another German competitor to the '12 550? BWM 550i?
4) What is the TRUE real-life gas mileage on the '10/'11 550 and the '12/'13 models?
5) I think I need this car!! My wife won't be happy, but then again she drives an '11 Ford Flex Ecoboost with the twin turbo - 355 hp/350 lb.ft. torque. The thing totally kicks *** - a ton of room, drives beautifully for such a big object (20" wheels), and it flies! Faster than a Cayenne S to 60 mph. So I need to outdo her, and the upgraded 302hp E350 won't cut it I'm thinking. I haven't ruled out BMW or Audi, but I would love to have another Benz. I love my E350.
Talk to me about the E550 - thanks a bunch lads.....

2014 E550 Cabriolet
I had my 2014 E550 Cab. in the body shop for minor bumper scratch repairs. Rented an Audi S5 for 5 days. Two completely different cars. The E550 is faster but I have a renntech tune in it. The E is a more elegant car; the S5 sportier. I'm glad I bought the Benz.
