2011 E350 COUPE
I want better ride comfort

I bought 2011 E350 coupe with 18" wheels, tyres and with sport suspension.
I'm not satisfied about ride comfort even though I changed tyres to comfort all-season and lowed tyre pressure to minimum.

I'm considering changing wheels and tyres to 17" and changing sport suspension to normal suspension.
I think suspension is more influential but it's not simple task, so I'll change wheels and tyres first.

What do you think?

And I want to know which part is need to be changed if I want normal suspension.
I just thought all springs and struts to be chaned, but I checked only front strut ans sping is different in http://www.mbonlineparts.com/parts/2...038&searchText=

2014 E550 Coupe and 2010 E350 Sedan
I'm afraid maybe you bought the wrong car then

I have a 2010 E350 sport Sedan and a 2014 E550 Coupe, both have been lowered. My coupe rides softer than the sedan only because it is on 18's and the sedan is on 19's. Even still, the ride is pretty darn nice (in comfort mode).

As you've already checked, you can go with softer springs and shocks. You could also get fatter tires.

Good luck!

Yes you have the wrong car if you feel the suspension is not soft enough, the cost of changing the suspension to the non sport plus changing the wheels to 17", well you might as well trade in and get something else, but test drive first!!!
Having said this dropping to 17" OEM wheels does make the suspension feel a lot softer without doing anything to the suspension. Try and borrow a set of 17" rims just to test!!!!!!
I have a set of 17" wheels for winter and a summer set of 18"..........the ride is much softer on the 17" wheels.......

2011 E350 COUPE
Today I changed wheels and tyres to 17", but the result is not as satisfactory as expected.
The only remaining thing is changing suspension from sport type to normal type.
Ah,,, it was probably wrong choice to buy this car.

No doubt those smaller rims make a difference.

I agree but the suspension looks to be more caustive than wheel size.
