So a few weeks ago, I made a post about rotors, so I went and got them replaced and all was well. Driving to the office the other day, going about 40 in the left lane in a posted 45. A large box truck pulled out at the last second, slammed on the brakes and BOOM, ABS kicked in and kept me from sliding, but the box truck stopped to allow someone to cross in front of them (pedestrian walking). Can't fault the guy from stopping to not run over a person, but he was ticketed for Failure to Use a Due Care and Expired Registration.
Air bags deployed, and seatbelt locked as it should. I'm 6'3, 197 lbs and my little car kept me in my place, so happy about that. I was out of the car in 2 seconds because the smoke in the car from the airbags.
