New 2015 E400
Just picked up our E400 last night, love the car. A little concerned about power and performance though.
The C400 with the same motor runs 0-60 in 5.0 sec in sport mode. If you put the C400 into sport+ mode it can do it in 4.6 sec.
I'm quite sure the E400 is only doing this in about 5.0 sec when in sport mode.
Anyone have any knowledge of ECU chips for the E400 that would make sport mode have the tune parameters of the C400 in sport+ ??
I'm a little disappointed that my $70,000 E400 is slower than a $50,000 C-class.

The performance isn't the only reason you buy a car. The C class is a nice car, it's no E-class.
The point is waiting on the ECU tune for the car, the car has been out in Europe for over a year already so there has to be something coming soon.
Also when I bought the car there was ZERO tech data. The website showed ??? at HP and 0-60 time. In fact I think it still shows that.
The car is FAST - no worries there, but I definitely want to be sure it's quicker than a C-400 regardless of weight.

Kleeman just released a ECU tune taking the car to 415 HP.
The problem is they want you to run 98 or 100 octane gas. I have a hard time buying 93 octane around here...
