A/C always comes on in AUTO mode
When you put your climate control system in "Auto" it also turns on the A/C, regardless of the temp. This seems to be by design according to the manual, but why? You can then turn the A/C off but not sure of why it would be programmed this way.

What are your preferences? Setting it on "Auto" and then also having to engage the A/C manually or setting "Auto" and having to disengage the A/C?
With the first option, it would not be considered "Auto".
With the A/C on, the compressor only operates in defrost mode or when the interior temp demands it.

Ah, this is the key: With the A/C on, the compressor only operates in defrost mode or when the interior temp demands it.
Thanks!
