2010 E350 Coupe vs 2014 C250 Coupe

Hello! I am new to this forum and I just signed up to ask you guys expert opinions!

I have owned and been driving only BMW, started with 328i, X5 and now I am driving X3. I want to go back to non-SUV and especially this time I want to drive an coupe. I thought of getting a 428i coupe from BMW but since I've always wanted to drive Mbenz, I am also considering Mbenz as well.

While I was searching, I found a 2010 used (not certified) E350 with only 5000K miles on craigslist. The original owner sells the car and he claims that he only used it as an weekend car. I asked the reason why he is selling the car and he said he just wants to get a BMW. He is willing to sell me this car for $24K cash.

To me 2010 sounds a bit old, but considering the mileage on the car is only 5K, I think it is a great deal but just the fact that it is not "certified," I am scared and thinking rather I should get a 2014 certified 2014 preowned C 250 coupe.

If you guys were me, which one would you guys go for? Please please help! I've been asking people around me and they are half/half. Thank you in advance!:

His car could have been certified at one point so don't let that deter you as I'm sure MB has an age cutoff for certifying cars. Sounds cliche but drive both! I'm sure the E will ride much more relaxed and refined than the C. The E should have a bit more grunt down low with the 6 cylinder vs the turbo 4. You usually have to wind the 4 bangers out more to get the torque.

~ I just switched from a '12 C250 coupe (great car!) to a '15 E400 coupe.

I must say while they're on the same chassis... they truly don't feel like the same car to me personally. The E just feels like a much higher quality build and larger car to me. It seems a lot more upscale and perhaps elegant in some way, but I guess it should for a nearly a 20k premium in msrp.

As for your options... I would most likely pick the newer car. Either way... they are both very nice cars!

2010 E550 Coupe
I use to drive a BMW 328xi and they are no where near the same level of quality and performance of an E350 Coupe, I own an E550 Coupe and will never go back to BMW, Benz is simply the better built car and far safer, which I would strongly suggest you look into, the last BMW 328 we had was totaled in a crash going under 30 MPH, the safety and performance of the Benz, at least for me personally is way better than BMW

Benz Coupe vs BMW

If you are financing your coupe, I would strongly recommend a Benz. They are so much safer, we owned a BMW 328ix and my wife was in a car accident and the car was totaled only hitting someone 25MPH. The airbag blew-up she got a bad concussion and her passenger broke both wrists. Also, you can secure a bumper to bumper zero deductible warranty from a reputable credit union for under $2K. We did, and the E550 coupe we purchased had 18,400 miles on it. We love the 382HP/391 LB Torque. For the money, you get so much more in a pre-owned Benz. They are also way more comfortable on the highway, and we travel a lot. Not as comfortable as the Jags we have owned, but more fun to drive. Get the Benz dude!
