Lookin' good man! You don't HAVE to drop it, but if you did it would look super nice assuming you don't have to worry about any sort of rubbing.

Thanks!
It is pretty tight on the sides in the wheel wells but it looks like I have fair amount of room to drop a bit. I am investigating lowering springs now (looking to drop the front more than the rear but a very mild drop).

yeah, it seems like most people that have dropped the coupe find a larger gap in the front than the rear. After settling, the rear is nearly tucked for me.

Thanks!
I'm hoping to not have to roll the fenders with a small drop. I think I should be fine with H&R Sport Springs which lower no more than an inch.
The resonator delete with straight pipes (x-pipe would not have been as loud) def makes it sound much nicer with aggressive throttle (by nicer I mean louder and meaner) especially after the ECU tune.

Thank you!
Observations so far on the new wheels / tires:
Observations so far on the new wheels / tires:
- The comfort level has not diminished at all from the stock AMG 18"
- The handling performance is definitely improved. Car feels even more alive due to the lighter wheels/tires (less unsprung weight). The larger contact patches and likely better tire overall (for an All Season) has improved handling.
- High speed stability and smoothness is better
- Acceleration has improved due to better grip of rear tires (can still spin easily but grabs much better)
- Looks way better with 19" vs 18", especially with the fat 285 width rears! Fills in the wheel wells more so than the stock 18".
- Much easier to clean than before!

I tried to schedule a 4 wheel alignment with my local MB dealer / service center but they wouldn't do it with aftermarket wheels. Apparently their alignment equipment only works with the OEM Mercedes-Benz wheels which have the small holes between the lug nuts (always wondered what those holes were for) - now I know.
Guess that was a good reason to keep my original wheels / tires (but I sold them on Ebay).
Found a local shop that does specialty alignments (aftermarket wheels) so all good but disappointed that this MB dealer didn't have a solution.

Dropping the E550
Please keep me posted on your research, I'm also interested in some exhaust mods I would like to have a more aggressive sound especially when I'm on the gas...been reading about resonator delete. Do you know anything about this and how it may affect car of at all...?
Thanks a bunch...!

The resonator delete is a simple and inexpensive mod. Here is my thread on resonator delete:
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-c...550-coupe.html
The sound is definitely more aggressive (without being too loud) when you are on the pedal yet maintains pretty close to the stock sound in normal driving. I noticed it even more so after my ECU tune.

No experience re: Sprint Booster but I'd suggest an ECU tune over Sprint Booster. The ECU Tune does make throttle response much better (and adds power). I believe you have the naturally aspirated V8 (2011, right?)? In which case the ECU Tune (ex: http://www.oetuning.com/products/mer...s-benz-e550500) is very reasonable.
