can anyone clarify what the owners manual reads as far as sport mode activation? Manual states that sport mode and manual mode should be activated while transmission is in park. All of these function activate while car is in motion. Is there potential system harm to activate while car is in motion? I have been doing so, as I just looked at the portion of the manual covering this.

I do not believe switching modes (Sport or Manual) while in motion has any negative impact whatsoever as have done this many times over thousands of miles on my E550 Coupe. Similar validations on other threads in this forum and for other MB models. If it truly was an issue MB would have put a safety feature that would not allow for changing while in motion.

 

Ditto I've done it manny different speeds, no issues....! Just a lil bark.....lol
