Holy ****! Thanks Chris!!!

How was the installation of the new headlamps? Would you need to reprogram and will the old wires fit? I've read in a different forum that a new set of wires need to be installed. And also replacing SAM unit as well?

Love reviewing the progress. I may have missed it but do you have plans to replace the floor shifter with the column shifter?

I had planed it and thought it was an easy step but man what a big work. BIG disapointment. You need a new gearbox,Cables, column, modules, key egnision and alot of programming. I thought the one on the floor was electric but it is the old fashioned style whith a direct link to the gearbox underneath it. So there is also a hole in the chassi under it that needs to be covered. Dropped that retrofit.

You can but much harder. Since the clips are on the back it is a bit risky.

Hello Chris,

As usual you get us some major upgrades to your cars, and this E500 is not lacking behind of the others

Can I ask if you know if it's possible to add the engine and transmission temp to the cluster of my 2014 E500 coupe as you have with that AMG cluster on yours E500?

Thanks

Sure. It is a programming thing. Needs to be flashed with new software.

Is the flashing done as part of the provisioning of the cluster (by you) or after installation VIA the SDS of the installer?

All is done by me before you get it and included in the price. So it is just for Mercedes to install it a s a new cluster.

Everyone buys the new SAM. Such a waste of money. All you need is the converter and adapter cable kit + programming.

I kinda got that part problem is I imported the complete kit and SAM was included with the new headlights and headlight modules

Is it even possible to do it with the new Sam ?
I know I need to add the 2 wires from the old preface DRLs
But I also noticed Im gonna be short a few more wires to complete the plug and maybe need to swap a few around
