does anyone know the stock turbo boost in lbs on a new e400 - V6 twin turbo?
The 3.0l engine is engine model M276 DELA 30. The 3.5l version is model M276 DELA 35.
I'm having a lot of fun with the "little" TT V6, even after driving a V8 Lexus for almost 15 years. This thing is just a blast - with all that torque at such a low engine speed.
One question - If you pull away from a stop in 'E' mode (2nd gear), and press down about 1/3 on the throttle, is your acceleration even, or do you sense a bit of a "surge" where the car jumps ahead, hesitates a split second, then takes off hard again? I sometimes have this, but I am not sure if I want the dealer to mess with it, as the car runs so well that I'm afraid to let them at it for fear that they will do something that softens the throttle response to get past the "lag."

2015 E400 - 4,500 miles. Yes. Same exact thing with mine. Moderate acceleration in Economy does result in an odd surge in second gear. Switching to S mode with the first gear start doesn't have the same result. I too have thought about raising the question with the dealer, but am probably not going to bring it up.
Questions for you and other E400 owners -
- Has anyone noticed a very loud "gurgle" out of the passenger exhaust upon starting? After 60 seconds it is then pretty quiet.
- Has anyone noticed unusually hard transmission down-shifts during above average braking? Example: Coming off of an expressway and applying harder braking, I can feel the transmission downshift hard through each gear until stop.
Thanks!
