Considering a 2010 e350 - any advice?

Hi all, I'm very new to MB as a vehicle. Never owned one but I'm tiring of my current 2011 G37. I found a very nice 2010 e350 3.5l V6 with around 33000km on it. Dealer has it listed for $33k.

Is there anything that I should be aware of with regards to headaches and problems? This is NOT a cpo vehicle but I do trust this dealership.

Does any one driving this have kids that go in the back seat? If so... Is it that much of a pain? I have two little ones but most of the time, we're in the wife's car.

Thanks so much in advance. I'm still doing my research but I do like the aesthetics of the car.

not much issues withe these coupes although im not sure about pricing from your end.

it depends on how you want to use the car mate. we dont have kids yet but have 2 small dogs. its a bit harder to get in and out from the back seat as any other four seater coupe i reckon but thats why you have a sedan.

imo, its one of the sexiest coupe design ive seen out there so you wont regret it if you go down this route. goodluck mate!

Thanks. After discussing this with my wife, it's going to be a tough sell - trying to squeeze two kids in the back as part of the school routine. But yeah, I fell in love with the styling of it...so sexy.

I might still do it if I can get dealer down in price.

2011 E550 Cab & 2015 ML400
I know it's low mileage but $33K does seem a bit high. My '11 E550 cab 41K mi was around that price. Have patience and do your research.

As far as "trying to squeeze two kids in the back", it's pretty roomy as far as other coupes go. I'd be concerned with the process. When you drop your kids off, are both in the back and no one in the front? Then you will have to open the passenger door for them every time. If your wife is with you, she will have to get out of the car each time to let them in or out. You did say "most of the time, we're in the wife's car" so how often will this car be dropping the kids off?

2014 E550 Coupe and 2010 E350 Sedan
I use my coupe for my two young ones all the time. They are now 6 and 3 years of age. 2 years ago when I first purchased the car, I was able to get the younger, then 1, in and out without much issue. When the front seats move forward, it's actually plenty of room to move around as needed, especially if you put the windows down and the B pillar is not there. Now that they are older (still need child seats), they just get out on their own.

Though, I am not a large guy, 5'9'', 170 lbs, and am still relatively agile haha.

Hmm...that's not bad. I'm about the same size as you...kids are 8 and 5 and getting slightly bigger but I think that's a good thing as the youngest will likely be using a booster soon so he can use the actual seat belts.

When I drive them to school, it's just the 3 of us...so the passenger seat can be moved all the way forward. I think it could work but it'll just be something we'd need to adjust to. That...automatic sliding chair though does take a while to move forward.

All that said, I have been researching and price wise - it's definitely on the high end. I think the dealer is putting a lot of emphasis on the low KMs. Converting the #'s to US, it would be around 20500miles and $24000.
I've seen ONE other coupe sold privately for $29000cdn albeit with 55000km on it.

I got a price and it's not bad. I might go for it. Last question. The dealer DOES have an aftermarket warranty available. They didn't push it, I asked. I don't know all the details yet, I'll be calling them tomorrow but assuming it's a decent warranty, would anyone consider a warranty?

Probably a difficult question to answer given I have no details on the warranty.

Warranty should be considered since the original manufacturer warranty is no longer valid (based on 2010 model year) and you are buying a used vehicle.

I'm looking for the same vehicle except I decided to go with e550.
Kms are low but the age is there . 33k is high.
For example I am looking at 2012 e550 with designo package 66000km forfor 32k. For the car you are looking I wouldn't pay more than 30k all in.

Thanks! Right now the offer is $10700 all in with my trade. My no brainer number was $9k. Assuming they didn't budge on the sticker, that would have valued my G37 at $22259 which from a dealer is great. I get the sense the price is fair but your deal looks even better. Is that e550 a CPO?

these are canadian dollars, take about 20% from that price in USD.
What do they go for in your area?
