C-class the end for E-class

Seems a bit much to have both in the future...What you think or know?
"Later on, we'll have the bigger engines," said Michael Kelz, chief engineer for the E class.
The E450, powered by a V-6 engine, will follow, Kelz said, but its U.S. on-sale date is undetermined. Plug-in hybrid, diesel and AMG performance versions also are expected. The diesel and plug-in hybrid models will go on sale in Europe, but not in the U.S., this calendar year, Kelz said. Wagon, coupe and convertible body styles also are planned.
