URGENT CHOICE IM so confused
Hello guys so this is my first post here, I came to mbWorld to take advice from you mercedes lovers! So here it is , I'am 18 years old and getting my first car, I live in Lebanon ,here in our country cars are really high priced like example an E350 coupe 2010 should cost in germany 20000-25000$ and in lebanon it costs 35000-40000$ , yeah I know its not cool but anyway for my first car Im planning to buy an E class coupe , It is really hard to find a pure clean one but I finally found the one , it is an E250 2011 model AMG body full option imported from germany 75 000 km on it , body is WHITE and interior is BLACK so this is getting me confused you know , I never owned a car before and Im a guy going to law school and I found it pretty good . So what's your opinion guys? Should I go for white on black or wait and get a black or grey one? (By the way the E250 is higher priced than the E350 here ) personally I found the white one a good go what do you recommend me to do guys? The thing that is getting me confused is the color.

white with black interior looks sweet(if you can keep it clean), but the choice is ultimately yours... If you don't LOVE it don't get it.
BUT then again I didn't know how I felt about palladium silver and my girlfriend made my buy it now its my favourite colour hahaha.
really if its a clean car thats all that matters you can change everything else, mods are the fun part!
totally contradicted myself !

Haha Thanks for your advice I ll go monday to see the car and everything, and if it's fine I ll buy by the way
what do you think about retrofitting the car to the 2014 model? Im not an expert with that but the most known for retrofitting in our country can do it for 4000- 5000$ do you think it is worth it? And what are the risk if I retrofit?

Its a lot of work to do the full facelift on the car and quite expensive. Have a read of the Thread that documents much of it very well. https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-c...-e550-cab.html

whats the point of buying a pre fl and immediately think about updating the look to a fl?
since youre in the process of purchasing a car, do yourself a favor, save a few more and get the facelift if youre really into it.

if color combo is very important to you, dont settle and wait for the right car otherwise you'll regret it. also, if youre buying a car, dont ask what color combo you should pick, its a personal preference. you can pick a pink car with a purple interior if thats what you want and nobody can stop you.
ask about options and possible flaws that you should be concerned about for the year model car that youre after instead.

Yeah I got your point man , but you know that's my first MB ( actually my first car) anyway I was at the dealer today I saw an E200 2012 coupé 15 000km on it, price was extremely higher than the E350 2010 , there is people telling me to not go for the E350 because It's built in USA and the engine of those (350-500) fail way more than the 250 200 german models ? Is that true ? Personally I think buying a 2010 model is better than buying a 2012 or a 2013 one because I don't think there is a major difference between those models (expect the price) so I think going for a lower model in full option should be better and especially in terms of registration what do you recommend me to go for?

goin for a later model is always better. a few bugs and glitches from older models are always fixed with the newer models. 2011 (some) onwards will have updated (colored) dash and monitor, thats another plus imo.
if i were you, go for the car you want , color and option wise, that suits your budget. being your first car and an MB to say the least, make sure you get a good 3 yr warranty (at least) or be ready for any unexpected and sometimes costly repairs.

I just bought my 2010 white on black and chose it because of how much I liked the color combination. But you should choose on what moves you. Getting a car where you compromise to get newer is not always the best way to go. Good luck!
