2011 E350 Designo, seat back recline out of sync after moved way back

My son is almost 6' and my wife is 5' 3". My son adjusted the seat and back and now the seat recline angle won't go back to the original position.
It happened once and I took the car to an indy shop. The shop just used the computer to reset or re-sync the angle of the back.
Now this is the second time. Seems like once the angle is moved way back, it changes its range? Like old typewriter, the margin can be pushed out.
Any thoughts or another $100 to the indy shop?
