Dilemma
Hi,
I have a great opportunity to buy 2011 e550 coupe, low kms and great price.
The only problem I have is with the engine
In 2012 this car got the upgraded engine twin turbos that can be tuned to produce over 500bhp.
So, am I being stupid for thinking like this?
Would you go for 2012 up?

Never driven the TT V8 but I'm really enjoying my new NA V8.
Maybe someone who has driven/owned both can weight in better.
I came from a 302hp CLK500 to a 382hp E550 so it's a nice significant upgrade.
I figured my next car, I can go for the 402hp TT V8.

Depends on what you're looking to do with the car and how you drive. If you simply want a good DD car and don't expect to do any mods down the road, then the 2011 will probably be just fine. If you're a more performance oriented driver, who wants a reasonable DD car and also enjoys an occasional bit of fun or plan to do mods down the road, then get the TT V8. it all depends on what you're looking for. It's a very personal choice, since you're the one who will be driving the car.
