headrest rollbar deployed HELP E convertible a207 w207

I have a e class convertible on a 2011 and due to a bump to the rear the back headrests/rollbar have deployed and I need to reset them. So far I've found a lot of information on when this happens to a clk and I'm 90% certain these cannot be reset the same way but can't find any information on these can anyone help thanks in advance

head rest/roll bar deployment

B166kel,

sorry to hear about your trouble. Unfortunately, the A207 E-Class convertible deploys the head rest roll over bars via explosive charge during an accident. From what I have heard, this is a bit of a pain, and it includes you needing to get an actuator for each head rest that has deployed. Confirm with your dealer - it appears to me that the p/n is 2079060002. You likely need some coding done at the same time.

The roll bar systems with hydraulic actuation are in A124 E-Class cabriolets up to 1995, in A208 CLKs up to 2003, and in R129 and in R230 SLs up to 2009. In those, the roll bar or head rests get released by a solenoid, and the roll bar or head rests can be retracted again with the use of the hydraulic system that is shared with the convertible top.

Hey B166Kel, were you ever able to fix your mercedes? What did you end up doing?
