Escort 9500ci install & purchase
I'm considering purchasing the Escort 9500ci for my E350, I live in upstate NY looking for a authorized shop to possibly purchase and install any suggestions?
Or should I consider an alternate custom radar detector with jammers?

Uh, what kind of car is that in the Escort page about this radar detector ?

Anyway, I have thought a lot about radar. Laser protection is predicated on scatter detected before your come into view. In practice, this is a crap shoot. I know, and mostly it consists of me being crapped on. The Laser detector does LOVE being near the airport where the tower uses laser vision systems. I had a conversation with Escort about how Audi,GMC and others prolifically use radar for proximity detection. K is still used for photo radar, but there are now shyteloads of cars spewing K, making K detection useless unless your are the only soul on the road. Brand new GMC trucks and SUVs now spew Ka. Pretty much the only radar used by police. Now it is becoming farking useless, falsing the presence of police about 90% of the time. So I had this conversation with Escort and their 'game plan' is to utilize social media to report on police presence. I LOVE relying on others. You can build pricey features into the gear, but radar detection is now obsolete with the mass production of proximity detection in automobiles, only now useful in the outback.
