Something is wrong with the convertible cabriolet top where when opening the rear cover tries to flip open before the rear glass even moves so it stops the process a couple of seconds into opening if I manually open it and then go to close it that's what the video shows and I have already checked all the fuses And even switched around similar relays but I do not know which relay is actually for this process. I have also unplugged the battery for a week while the top is in the completely closed position thinking it would relearn or reset but it did not. There is a proxy switch in the rear cover under the driver's side chrome oval where rear glass goes in and latches but seems to click but I have not tested it. The car is out of warranty and I literally just got it paid for a week before this happened. Any help would be much appreciated.

Switch location is driver side where rear cover slides into a hook/channel near back seat and not the one under the chrome circle on the cover.
Bought the genuine part for eBay for $25. Top view

also double check the alignment whee the cover goes into the 2 chrome circles as this was also causing an issue (unsure if before or after replacing the switch)
