2015 E400c glovebox

2015 E400c, 2013 ML 350
2015 E400c glovebox
There is a white knob inside the left side of my glove box, not the console but the dash , what is it for?
I was looking to see if mine has an atomizer then found this, it's about the size of a half dollar

That's the pdf of the user manual, I went and looked in our car and had no clue what that knob was either.
Turns out it is a vent that dumps in the glove box... lets check the other car.... Well how about that, the ML has it too

Thanks much, I could never find it online or paper manual. Glad to know my gloves are staying cool as well !!
