Introduction and questions

Hi to all , I have been lurking around on the W209&230 forums for several years having recently sold my 07 SL550, and still enjoying my 09 CLK 550 Cabrio. My newest addition is a 2012 E 550 Cabrio, diamond white metallic over light grey with a blue top, 29K miles. I have done many searches and read many threads from this forum and came up with several questions. It appears that a chronic problem for many is pulsating brakes. The best I can determine is that it is likely due to uneven deposition of pad material on the rotors. That being said since the braking action on my car is smooth and the best I can tell from the Carfax , the brakes have not been replaced, should I be proactive and replace the current pads with ceramic pads . This seems to make sense to me since it is simple and inexpensive. Any recommendations on pads. My other question is regarding the transmission fluid replacement interval. It is 39K for my other Mercedes 7 speed transmissions. Will the same interval apply? I welcome any other feedback on proactive maintenance and problem areas to look out for. Thanks in advance for any comments.

I also have read the E550 brake issues. However, since your car does not exhibit this issue, I suggest not to touch it unless you have a problem. You know the old saying, don't fix if it ain't broke.
