engine juddering, whooshing sound, suspect split pipe

engine juddering, whooshing sound, suspect split pipe
I have a 2009 e350cdi blue efficiency coupe.
yesterday when i started from cold, when i accelerated slowly, the car was juddering and hopping like mad between 1000 - 2000rpm.
This got better as the car got warmer.
No juddering at higher revs and if I accelerated quickly from idle i also didnt get it.
ruled out the gearbox as it does this in neutral.
My theory is that I have a split pipe. I have crud behind the fan and looked fairly fresh. I will try and upload some images of that.
I definitely heard some whooshing sounds as i revved harder this morning.
the engine management light come on and the following are the codes.
The glow plug failure has been there for ages so doubt its that.
Would a split pipe caused the other two?
123900 - The positive control deviation during boost pressure control is too high
14B200 - Component Hot film mass air flow sensor has a plausability error.
13CB00 Component R9/2 (Cylinder 2 Glow plug) has Open circuit.
Any suggestions?
