2011 E350 Cabrio comand knob
Rotating my comand knob does not work because the plastic shaft is broken. This apparently happens after 4 years in C class cars. How difficult is it to remove the comand switch to replace the shaft? Does the entire console have to be removed? Would appreciate any advice. Thanks

I had the same problem. I bought the following part on amazon:
I took it to a non-dealer repair place and they installed it for $75 labor. So for $105 I was able to get a repair done that the dealer quoted >$500. Center console has to be removed if you DIY.
