Wheel Alignment Specs (2010 E550)
Hello!
I'm having new tires installed in the next day or so. This last set of tires had inside wear on the fronts and unfortunately I didn't catch it before it was too late. Car has low miles, was aligned less than a year ago etc. The tech at the shop I'm having the tires installed at suggested I skip the dealership for the alignment due to how their specs on alignment leads inside to inside wear and go to a shop who can align the ride dead center. Thoughts? If in Orlando, can you suggest a shop?

You should tell the shop to "center" the toe. That is, if the toe range is -0.04 to +0.02, then the toe should be -0.01, which is the center of two numbers. If they align at -0.04 or +0.02 even though it's within the range, you will still see abnormal wear. Center the toe for both front and rear wheels. Make sure you tell them to give you printout for both before and after alignment! So you will know just what the toe numbers are. Most car' camber and caster cannot be adjusted.
