2012 Cabrio Resonator Delete

I have a 2012 E550 Cabrio and was wanting to do the resonator delete. I am a little concerned about the exhaust volume being too much when the top is down. I would interested in hearing from anyone that has done this.

I stopped by a local shop today and they said they could remove the resonator and weld in straight, aluminized steel pipe for $150. He said he didn't have any stainless pipe. I'm hoping to keep the resonator and re-install if the exhaust is too loud.

Would appreciate a sound clip when you decide to go for it.

Best mod for the cost in my opinion. I would suggest going with stainless steel straight pipe (should not be any cost difference as I paid a little less with stainless steel straight pipe).

I am hoping to use stainless, but the only place I have found that would do it will only use aluminized steel. Does anyone know the size of the exhaust pipe? I'm thinking it is 2.25"?
