w207 e400 cabri rear window stuck open
I have a 2016 E400 convertible.
The rear window would not close, it was stuck open about an inch, each time I tried to raise it, it went down about another inch (like it was blocked and backing up). Me being a clutz kept trying this until the window disappeared into the bodywork.
Thought it would be easy to raise once I took the trip panel off. I was wrong. WIS tells you to remove the window first then remove the regulator including the motor. Thats fine if the motor is working, but in my case, it wont raise the window up enought to align the screws to disconnectthe window
what does one do in this situation? any workarounds to close the window in an emergency, or any other suggestions please? There must be a solution for when the motor fails.
