Hi all, thanks in advance for your feedback!
I am looking at a 2018 E400 coupe that's a loaner with 2,500 miles on it. Can the experts take a look at this pricing and let me know if this is a good deal or I should shoot for more? Is 8.2K a good enough discount for a loaner with miles on it? I am getting offers for new coupes for $7K but the lease payments are coming out to be higher (I'm guessing due to additional fees).
This is in the bay area, if that helps.
MSRP: $71,210
Sales price: $62,981
Residual: .56
Cash (drive off): 5,000
Rebate: 0
Govt Fees: 745.75
Taxes: 2278.75
Doc Fee: 80
Monthly (36 months, 7,500 miles per year): 708.74
MF: 0.00069

I don't understand the $5K drive off, unless you are buying down the lease payment. Usually the cash in represents the first month payment plus fees. The tax in our state is built into the monthly payment. All that aside, it appears you are getting a good deal with the discount offered. As a rule of thumb, in the Northeast, the general discount is 7% depending on demand for a particular model. You are doing better than that. I'm sure it is because it has miles. This is really the best way to go. I leased my G Wagon with 2200 miles. It was used as an executive demo so I received a good discount.
I'd go for it after inquiring about the drive off fee and the tax situation. Good luck with your decision. Let us know what happens.

Thanks for the response! The drive off includes fees etc. and also some $3500 down. So, I just got an offer from another dealer for $9000 off on a NEW car which is $500 better than this one. It doesn't have the exact options that I wanted though so I am still debating. But the loaner should definitely be cheaper than the best offer I can get on a new car, surely?
