Now Available: SmartTOP for Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet
Although it may sound like a minute annoyance, being forced to be inside your Mercedes to open or close to top can be really annoying. Plus, you have to hold down the open/close button for the entire duration of the top’s movement. SmartTOP recognizes this annoyance and they’re product array now includes the A238 Cabriolet.
The retrofit SmartTOP module makes it possible to open and close your close your top with one press of the open/close button, instead of having to hold it down. Furthermore, you will be able to control the top via your key fob. All of these functions can be set up and changed through your computer. I can control my top and windows with my key fob from outside the car (MY '18) as it came from the factory. I understand the one touch upgrade when inside and lowering and raising. Not sure it is inconvenient enough to go through an upgrade. But that's just me.

Whether the price is worth the convenience only the owner can decide, I bought mine used and for that money it was very much worth it.

My previous droptop, a 2007 Jaguar XK had one-touch controls, so I must say not having it on my '13 E350 is a disappointment, Seriously considering ordering this.

I have this on my 2011 E550 and I love it. Being able to control your top and windows from the range of your key is worth it alone. I love being able to park with top down and put it up as you're walking away and also putting the top down from inside before you leave. Also allows top operation while driving. I highly recommend it. Installation was easy too.
