Buying 2018 e400 Coupe (CPO)
I have decided that it's the car for me but am debating a year end purchase of a new 2018 version or a CPO version. Any thoughts about the best time to walk into the dealership to make this happen? Other thoughts about the difference between a new 2018 that will be one of the last on the lot before the 2019 fully versions take over versus a car coming off lease?
I have had Mercedes before and this is definitely the most expensive one I will buy, so I am trying to plan as much as possible before hand. Thought on the best websites to search for CPO Mercedes easily across multiple dealerships and states?
Thanks in advance!

I´d recomend not getting the first offer you get from the first dealer you go. To get my car, I walked into 6 different dealers. I got an offer from the first dealer ($2000 off MSPR) and I took that offer to the second one, who gave me a better price. I called then the first dealer with the second dealer´s offer and gave me a better price. With that offer I went to the third dealer and they gave me a better price... Long story short, I got a $5500 discount over the MSPR (The first price was only a $2000 discount).

Shop on line. I got my 2018 E400C with P2 and a few other things from South Bay Mercedes in Torrance, CA, in early November 2017. Sticker was $70,865, I got it for $63,520 ( (not including tax, etc.). It was their end-of-month sale for October 2017. I was interested in a couple of cars I saw on line (having already visited the showroom I knew what I wanted), inquired about the price, got an e-mail reply, went in and signed the papers. No haggle! Very happy with the salesperson and the deal.

I got burn with the first year model, E500 back in 2003. Will never buy another first year model! Suggest that you wait for 2019 model when MB have ironed out some bugs. My 0.02.

Unfortunately, the 2019 model might as well be considered a first year model itself ... different engines (based on the new model designators), to include but not exclusive to the E53 model ... and then there is the continued problems with COMMAND which (probably) will be updated to the new MBUX system ... I'm starting to think that my wait will extend into the 2020 decade after all 'new' items are incorporated and get (at least) a year of consumer use/discovery/etc.

as a matter of principle, I object to any 'new' vehicle which incorporates a Garmin style stick-on nav screen ... one of the main reasons I won't consider replacing my '13 S5 with a newer model S5/RS5. in addition, I have no desire/use for a sedan.
