glove box light

Just went to install an LED in my glovebox light does not work with regular or LED bulb. I could not locate the switch/Plunger, etc. Wondering if there is something "exotic" that I need to know to fix it. All the other LED's I installed work like a charm, what a difference. 2015 MB E550 Cabrio
