The mufflers are from c63 performance package sedan 2016 I think I have to double check ..
Would love to hear the exhaust from outside too, with revs and hard acceleration.
thinking about doing the same mod on my cls as it has the same engine, right now I'm running M.E.C. design mufflers with res delete and it's really up to luck to get good sound and only in certain RPM range, in higher revs all i hear is air out of exhaust and no burble ( 2-3.5k is sweet spot), was told it's due to weak muffler by exhaust design guys. Either way great car man !

Did you try the AMG mufflers with the resonators in place first. I was thinking of trying that route first and wanted to know how much loader if at all it would be?

no i havent sorry

but i can tell you i tried removing res + 2nd cat with original mufflers
sounds increased and was pleasing ,, not too loud not too low . just a nice touch

but then i wanted more and went with c63 mufflers

then i ended up going fully decat with amg muffler sound was just too insane lol and gas smell all over the place with full decats .
went and installed a high flow cats

now car is perfect for me

When u say that the gas smell was everywhere.. what exactly do u mean? It was in the cab of the car and AC?

Only in cab not ac when I open the window.
No point to have a convertible that u can't open the top or open the windows to prevent smelling that gas smell from cats delete.
Ended up installing high flow cats.. Lost that crazy loud sound and pops and crackle and some power. But at least no gas smell.. It was way too annoying

I agree with you since you have the convertible. I saw on your YouTube video that you made 630/760?

I currently have a renntech stage 2 with stock downpipes and cats and I make 540/715.

Catless downpipes and retune sounds like an amazing upgrade. What do you think? I didn’t know those numbers were possible with downpipes tune

I went back to high flow cats
Running catless makes the car not only loud but I couldn't take the gas smell
But u feel the power and gain and how unrestricted the car flow is
If u don't ming the gas smell and just want more sound and more power I would do it without thinking about it
But I couldn't vape or smoke unless I close all windows.. Couldn't take the top down.. Smelling gas gives me a headache

Depends on ur tune. Renntech makes good tunes and I think they also make downpipes
But the numbers between eurocharged or Renntech are very similar

Maybe on a sedan or coupe you would smell the gas a lot less with catless setup... Than convertible but I could be wrong

Emazens quick question about downpipes.. I’m still learning about the different types. Do you have true turbo back downpipes or cat delete downpipe?

Wow I can only imagine! Much more expensive though! Did you get your HP/TQ verified on the DYNO as well? I’m looking into a tune setup with Eurocharged Orlando near me, if you recommend them.

Stage 1 tune
Ull gain power and better fuel consumption
Stage 2 downpipe catless even more power but by by fuel consumption lol
I know eurocharged won't open the ecu they just reflash vs others mostly have to open up ur ecu.. If I am not mistaken
Start with stage 1 and remove resonator and 2nd cat ull love the sound the car will make and very pleasing power gain
Stage 2
Ull need to change ur wheels oem wheels will light up ur traction control every now and then.. Gets annoying

I have been trying to find a place to do a resonator delete for a year now. The cheapest I found was $440 dollars. Seems a bit expensive to weld in 2 pieces of stainless.

Da hell that's a rip off
Go find a muffler shop that fixes exhausts for trucks 16 wheelers and all cars
That's where I got mine done incase they needed to custom bend fit something If needed
Paid 150$ Canadian

Most shops around here can not weld stainless. I visited 8-10 shops and found 2 that could weld stainless.
