Just bought 2011 E350 Cabriolet - need a few tips
Hello-
I totaled my very loyal CLK cabriolet and replaced it with a 2011 E350 cabriolet. I pick it up on Tuesday.
Does the GPS use a DVD like the CLK? If so, where can i get an updated one?
What product can I use on the top to protect and preserve the fabric; the car will be left outside occasionally.
Should I treat the seats with anything?
Should I treat the top of the dash with anything to protect it from the sun?
Thanks!

I wound up getting 303 Fabric Guard for the top but waiting for a break in the rain to apply it. Also picked up Meguiars Leather care for the seats and that seemed to do a good job.

GPS depends which system you have (and whether it has it at all) - On a 2011 Audio 20 (single CD) would be the Becker MapPilot box in the glovebox which is an online download to the box via USB, Audio 50 (Multi Disk) is an SD card I believe, Comand is a CD.
For the roof, you can buy products for it such as Autoglym. But equally you can do it much cheaper with other products. (UK centric brand names here) Johnsons Baby shampoo (Blue bottle) to wash, Milton's baby bottle cleaner (diluted) for any green Mildew on the creases and then a protector such as Fabsil (stuff for tents) to waterproof. Many will also say it doesn't need treating, I tend to do mine once a year.
Seats, again depends on which are fitted as there is the Mercedes Artico (which is a leather effect Vynl) fitteted to a lot of these cars which just needs a mild detergent to clean them. Some are real leather which you need a cleaner and then a treatment from the likes of Autoglym.
Dash, depends where you are and how much baking sun is going to be beaming onto it. If its in a very hot area and will be out in it all day, then maybe some type of cover, or a windscreen shield. Its the light coming through rather than the temperature which causes the issues, but that also takes a few years to happen.
Not straight answers but hopefully some guidance / ideas.

I always use a windscreen shield to protect the dash and the seats, and to keep the interior cool. Been doing it for decades. Makes a big difference!
