2012 E350 Coupe Bluetooth stuttering

Hello, I'm coming with somewhat of a common problem, but unusual circumstances. I have a 2012 E350 coupe, and the bluetooth audio is constantly stuttering. Like, probably not even a second apart. Can barely make out music. If I de-authorize my phone, and re authorize it through external authorization, it works fine. When I cut the car back off and on, I have to repeat the process. I know that the system has an update available as it still has the yellowish background theme. I have an iPhone X running iOS 11.3. Before I go on, I'd like to state that my phone has no problems on any other bluetooth device, including my other two Mercedes. Now here is where it gets a bit weird. I had a family member try out their phone, and it worked perfectly fine. It's a iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 11.4. Note that is one software version NEWER than my phone. Before anyone proposes to try the new update, I definitely will, but the update is brand new and this has been happening since I got the car in May. So, I am out of answers.
