I've been looking to black out my grill but have the distronic grill with the "2d" mercedes logo so if I get it wrapped or painted I'd be left with a grill that has a big black circle. Does anyone know of any after market gloss black grills that fit the c207? I found a great one on ebay but it only fits the w212. Does anyone know if the star plates on the distronic grill are interchangeable between w212 and c207 models? Here is the one I found.
I'm sorry that I can't help you, but just wanted to say that non-factory grille options for the c207 model are almost non-existent and it's very frustrating. I personally hate the stock grille with the enormous star on my car and would love to replace it with a traditional, horizontally slatted grille like the one available for the sedan, but there's simply no such thing. I've even contacted a few places around the country who bill themselves as custom auto fabricators, but still no luck.
