Angry Seat Belt Buckle Gets Caught Between Side Trim Panel and Driver's Seat Back

I'm curious as to whether anyone else experiences this, because it happens to me quite often. When I press the ignition button, the seat belt extender arm pushes the belt out past the driver's seat back (as it should), but the seat belt buckle gets jammed between the rear/side trim panel (just below the extender housing) and the driver's seat back itself. Any ideas for addressing this design flaw?
