Tire noise 2015 E400 coupe
Running Michelin Pilots with about 60% tread left. No visible tire damage and no running over curbs etc. Inflation is correct. I do however hear a distant wawawawawa noise from the tires in an otherwise quiet car. I may have picked up on this phenomenon in a previous vehicle as well. Yes, brakes have been serviced. Thoughts?

The reason that I mentioned noise increases with speed is that a bad wheel bearing can do that also, but the sound is more like a humming noise, not that loud, but distinct.

I have that with Conti contact sports. I don't worry about it as it has been there since day 1 when I drive it out of the dealer with 11 kms on the clock. If it bothers you, turn up the radio and sing along.
