CPO
I looked at a few CPO vehicles and was surprised to see that damage from an accident was reported on Carfax. I thought if a vehicle was involved in an accident it couldn't be a CPO car. I guess I was wrong..

I foolishly made the same assumption. I actually bought a car and, during a closer inspection at home, discovered that the entire hood had been repainted. Fortunately, the dealer offered a "5 day/full refund guarantee" and I was able to return it. Having purchased four CPO cars, I can now say that this designation means only one thing: a longer warranty. All the "detailed inspection and reconditioning" talk is pure BS; they actually do little, if any of that.

They sell all sorts of junk under CPO, some of the issues found with cars after they have supposedly been inspected to CPO standards are shocking. Take it as meaning nothing and inspect it as if you were buying from any non franchise dealer.
