Sigh. Lane Assist Inoperative

I had this error message last month, it appeared with the ¨blind spot control inoperative¨message .
the faulty piece was a radar sensor which is located behind the rear bumper - left side.
in the dealer (spain) they told me it would cost 685 euros. i changed it myself (so easy) for one i bought on ebay from Germany for 140 euros. now everything's working fine.
this sensor has no protecction, sometimes it gives an error message when it rains or in very high temperatures. if it's not constant i wouldn't worry .

I think(?) for the lane keeping assist, that uses the camera in front of the inside mirror.
i found several on eBay, and to replace it looks simple.
The only thing is, I suspect that could fix the error but not necessarily. There might be some other component that would be at fault.
ill just keep my fingers crossed for now.
