e350 4matic wheel change help
I was looking for a staggered style which I read for a 4matic is possible but needs to be very precise. I went to take a look at my tires that are already on from the previous owner and I noticed the front and back tires are already different sizes.
As you can see the front tires are 235/40 R18 and the back tires are 255/35 R18. They are Pirelli P Zero all season tires btw.
So now my questions are:
1) What sz wheels would I need to buy for a staggered look?
2) What is a good offset to have?
3) Do I need to buy new tires as well to fit the new wheels or can I get away with using the Pirelli P zero tires I already have?
4) any wheel brand recommendations that fit the 5 x 112mm bolt pattern of the '13 e350 coupe?

If I can offer my opinion though. Take it with a grain of salt.
I know it gets done frequently. And with good results usually. But why deal with the headache of figuring out exact diameters(Every MFR is different from tire to tire). Only to have the thought in the back of your head of your drivetrain binding and causing damage. And not having the awesome benefit of rotating your tires to get the most life out of them.
For what? So you can have a barely perceptible deeper rear offset? 3/4ths an inch wider rear tire on your AWD car?
I just get a nice set of new, flush, set of wheels. Get the nicest you can afford or justify and enjoy.
19" Verde Parallax on my 4matic C class
Yeah I just want a flush look, nothing crazy. I just don't want to have to change my tires because they still have a lot of life in them and are pretty good tires as well. I called a shop and we made an agreement. I am going to purchase the Avant Garde m310 in matte black 18x8 in front and 18x9 in the back for $1280 all in (good price?). Was quoted $1660 before tax at another place.
I have 19" on my E and sometimes that looks small to me.
It's all personal preference of course.
